In the central square of Saint-Jean-le-Vieux, opposite the church of Saint-Pierre d’Usakoa, this cross is on the route of pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela.
The cross tops a column built on three steps. It is carved: a figure of Christ on one side, a Madonna and Child on the other. Shrouded in acanthus leaves, two figures support the corners of the arms and the trunk.
